The Binaytara Foundation (BTF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit established in 2007 by co-founders Dr. Binay Shah and Tara Shah, with the goal of promoting health and education in resource poor communities. We strive to innovate, education, and advocate to improve healthcare.
Our projects include:
BTF’s ACCES Program – A financial aid program for low-income cancer patients in Washington State with young children access childcare services during cancer treatments.
The Summit on National and Global Cancer Health Disparities – A cancer health disparities conference designed to define cancer health disparities and create actions to relieve them.
The Northwest Cancer Summit – Educational seminars organized by the foundation for cancer patients and advocates in Whatcom and Skagit Counties in Washington.
India Hospice and Palliative Care Program – A program in partnership with the Indian Government to establish home hospice centers throughout Madhya Pradesh, India.
Hospice Partnership for Nepal – A program which local (Nepal) physicians can apply for support from the Binaytara Foundation in order to start and maintain hospice and palliative care programs throughout heavily populated areas in Nepal.
